802U is holding true to form on calving ease as birth weights on 12 heifers averaged 70 lbs and 8 bulls averaged 75 lbs. They are vigorous and nurse quickly. We look forward to placing his daughters in production.

One of the best bulls we have ever produced. He is sound, thick, easy fleshing, has a great disposition and profile. We look forward to the quality he can bring into our program with the calving ease and soundness from his sire and dam. We could have pushed him harder on his yearling weight, but chose to keep him adequately conditioned.  This paid off as he was able to maintain flesh and settle over 20 females in his first season.  Our philosophy is that a 1200 lb cow that produces a 650 lb calf (54% of her body weight) is more profitable than a 1500 lb cow that produces a 725 lb calf (48% of her body weight) and can do so more economically.
